DD SS (Reversed) M35 reissued

DD SS (Reversed) M35 reissued

Looks to have at least one set of decals underneath..Possibly 3 sets….Maybe an original M35 SS then Police then reverse decal back to SS..?

The maker is ET size 64 lot 4307-5 there is another random 5 under the lot #. The Reissued zinc band dated... 1943

Its also named to Joris in the liner with flemish/french lineage ?...Surname Joiris
He was born in 1925 so of Hitler Youth Division or Das Reich age...18 years old in 1943-44 period. The 2 ..SS units in the Normandy battle
Such double decal helmets were phased out in the W-SS per an order from August of 1940 when Joiris was 15 years old...but if it is a match.
I guess he could have obtained a hand-me-down (much older helmet)or reissue.
It certainly is an uncommon name for a German national but possible (like Adolph Galland, Joachim Marseille, also French names, who's past relatives fled to Germany
(French Huguenot ancestry) so good chance its a match if he's a German national with this French name.
But if French/Wallonie, (volunteer) well they did not become members of the W-SS until way after double decals were phased out.
So I vote a German national with French Huguenot name! Nothing to do with foreign legions!
This imfo is ...traslated form war graves records...
Not saying its this guy at all but its fun to think it maybe?...lol...Makes for a good head scratcher vollenteer or not .... Enjoy
